dc.description.abstract | Five manuscript maps of the early sixteenth century have been noted in the literature of the history of cartography for the place-name Bimini where Florida is today. An examination of the sources for these references reveals there are only two such maps. The other maps - bibliographical ghost maps - arose because of reliance upon secondary sources. | en_US |
