Sustainable well-being education is the process of teaching individuals the importance of sustainability and how to make choices that support the long-term health and well-being of themselves, their communities and the environment. This education is particularly important for students at maritime universities because it helps to ensure that the next generation of maritime professionals understand the importance of sustainability and how to make choices that support the long-term health and well-being of the maritime sector. As maritime activities have a significant impact on the environment and society, it is important that industry professionals take steps to minimize the potential negative consequences of these activities. Sustainable well-being education can help students learn about the environmental, social and economic impacts of maritime activities and develop the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions that take these impacts into account. In addition to promoting sustainability, sustainable well-being education has the added benefit of helping students develop important life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and communication. This study, which focuses on sustainable well-being education in maritime universities, starts with an overview of sustainability and well-being, continues with an emphasis on sustainable well-being, and concludes with an account of the importance of sustainable well-being education for maritime students and suggestions on how it can be delivered in maritime universities.
