Decay of energy for wave equations with strong damping terms and space-time-dependent coefficients

Abstract

We study the asymptotic behaviour of solutions to the wave equations with strong damping terms and space-time-dependent coefficients u(tt) - div (a(x)del u) - div(b(t, x)del u(t)) + c(t, x) u(t) = 0 in [0, infinity) x R-n by establishing decay estimates for the total energy of solutions.
